EGR Block Off Kit 2.5 4cyl

This EGR block off kit provides all of the necessary hardware to remove the EGR valve from your 1984 - 1988 Pontiac Fiero with the 2.5L 4cyl.This is a complete, plug and play kit - there is no guesswork and all parts are included.

The EGR system recirculates dirty unburnt emissions gases back into your engine through the intake manifold which decreases performance, but improves gas mileage. Block off the EGR to increase performance and clean up the look of your engine bay!

This kit makes the Fiero engine bay look a lot cleaner by removing the ugly EGR valve, vacuum port and the EGR tube that runs from the exhaust to the intake manifold. In most cases, drivers report better throttle respons all along the RPM range with the EGR valve blocked off.

This is a common procedure used when the EGR system malfunctions and the Fiero owner would rather get rid of the annoying EGR valve instead of spending all of the money to replace the factory components. Installing this kit will not cause your code 32 SES light to come on (EGR code). That is primarily caused by a faulty EGR solenoid, not the valve itself - WHICH THE 4 CYLINDER DOES NOT HAVE! When the expensive EGR valve and tube are removed, it is also less parts to go bad on your car.

The block off plates are made of 1/8" thick steel and are the exact same shape as the gaskets.
